Welcome Santa on the eve of his arrival with a celebratory dinner served on this formal Christmas Eve dinnerware. In lieu of snowmen, Santa Clauses, reindeer, or other cutesy holiday designs, this pattern opts for pure sophistication with its contemporary and festive poinsettia design. The set contains a full place setting for one person, which includes a 10-3/4-inch dinner plate for the traditional prime rib meal or a holiday buffet, an 8-1/4-inch salad plate for a winter pear and fennel salad, an 8-5/8-inch soup bowl for squash and apple soup, and a tea/coffee cup with a 2-3/4-inch saucer. Made of fine china, the ivory plates and cup feature a wide black border with etched 24-karat gold banding. Brilliant red blooming poinsettias with green leaves adorn the border and are outlined in bright gold trim. This holiday-themed china is safe for the dishwasher on the gentle cycle with low heat but should not be placed in the oven or microwave as the precious metal accents may soften and run. --Cristina Vaamonde
